Summary
Details	Trying to find military records for Maj. Lewis Zachry. He is shown as Principal Keeper at the Georgia State Penitentiary in an 1850 and already refered to as Major. He was also shown as the sheriff of Newton Co. Georgia after the Civil War and refered to as Major, CSA. Also his cemetary record shows him as Major CSA as does Clare Zachry's book. I have however been unable to find any refernce to what Confederate unit or regiment he was attached to. Can anyone help me? Ken Wilde
